Trains this Bank Holiday weekend

Today, Saturday, trains hauled by Sir Cecil A Cochrane will haul passenger trains from Andrews House at 10.30 am, & thereafter from East Tanfield at 11.25 am, 12.45 pm, 2.15 pm & 3.35 pm for Sunniside & return.   The last passenger train leaves East Tanfield at 4.55 pm for Andrews House only.

Tomorrow, Sunday, trains headed by Twizell will haul passenger trains from Andrews House at 10.30 am, & thereafter from East Tanfield at 11.25 am, 12.45 pm, 2.15 pm & 3.35 pm for Sunniside & return.   The last passenger train leaves East Tanfield at 4.55 pm for Andrews House only.

On bank holiday Monday, Sir Cecil A Cochrane & HL No.2 will haul alternate passenger trains from Andrews House at 10.30 am & 11.15 am, & from East Tanfield at 11.10 am, 11.55 am, 12.40 pm, 1.25 pm, 2.10 pm & 2.55 pm for Sunniside & return.   The last two passenger trains leave East Tanfield at 3.40 pm & 4.25 pm for Andrews House only.

The edge & surface of the main platform at East Tanfield is being rebuilt, similar to the bay.   During this time, AW No.2 will draw the train into the bay, enabling the train steam loco to attach to the head of the train for the return journey.
